Super good time

We had our annual SuperBowl party yesterday.

The group of friend who usually come to our home on Sunday evenings for a Bible study were the guests. We've done this for many years and we always look forward to a good time of relaxing together.
There were chairs here and there - and the desired leather chair was the most comfortable.
We had a drawing each quarter for who would get to sit in it!

Not everyone was rooting for the same team, which always adds to the fun of the game..

Of course, the food added to the fun of the evening too.... there was food in the kitchen and here in the dining room.... I caught Gary going for some dessert... it just seemed fitting to get a picture of him by the goodies!

We also had the game on in the "river room" (our 4-season addition from which you can see the river) .... hubby had nice wood fires going in the fireplaces in the family room, the living room and in the wood burning stove here in the river room. It was toasty warm and just the way Tracey liked it!

Of course, I had to take a few fun pictures of the food.

These tasty pickles were a big hit.....

And lots of great hearty food to sustain us though-out the evening!
(There were more crockpots then this, actually!)

However, the fresh, healthy veggie tray remained more-or-less untouched throughout the evening. Somehow chicken enchildada soup loaded up with shredded cheddar, sour cream and crushed dorita chips was more to the liking.... or chili, or one of the other many tasty offerings! I mean, fresh veggies? Really....
