Today marks the 7th year of my brother Cordell's death, just 5 days shy of his 50th birthday.
We all miss him as much now as during those darks days. I can still hear his voice saying "hello there" in my head; the words he always said when he called me on the telephone. He had a great sense of humor, something that I also miss. He knew just how to tease me - the kind of teases that really came close to home! There was always a bit of truth to his teasing... He was a great father and a loving husband as well as a wonderful son and brother.
And I'm so glad he wasn't camera shy, because I so treasure this picture of the two of us.
Oh, doesn't this look inviting? It was - it was at a beautiful convention center in northwest Wisconsin...
The grounds were lovely and the log and stone buildings so inviting.
The view from the main buildings faced the lake.
And the view from our little porch did as well.
We joined others from our church body from this central region for a great time of fellowship and encouragement.
And, of course, the endless cups of coffee...
Sometimes we enjoyed the outdoors as we listened to each other in discussion groups.
It was good to hear from each other; one generation to another...
It was a sweet time of fellowship, indeed! 
There were children during the day and grown-ups in the evening.
