Super friends party

It's good to have friends on whom you can count in good times and in hard times.
Our Sunday evening Bible study group are such friends. We've been through some serious moments in each other's lives. We will again, to be sure. But tonight we enjoyed our annual SuperBowl party. Always a fun time!
The food is probably the best part of the deal.
Chili, potato soups, chicken-wild rice soup... which to try first?

We got settled and ready for the game.
There were 16 of us from our Bible study, plus our youngest son and his family, making it 18 adults and 4 children.

We welcomed back our snowbirds, just in time for the big game -
and a big impending snow store too!

We had some fun with a "bingo" style game during the game and prizes; also a contest for the grand prize of the closest guess of the final score -
furthermore at each quarter we drew names for the person who got to sit in the large, cushy leather chair!
Marilyn settled in for the first quarter!

We had chairs everywhere. And people.

For those who really wanted to see the game - and concentrate on the game - we had a great set-up in the living room and river room. Mike brought a terrific projector and hooked it up to the television in the river room. It projected the game on a big screen and one could sit in the living room and watch. It was fun, thank you Mike! It's always good to have choices...

A little dessert doesn't hurt, does it?
This delicious looking homemade lemon meringue pie was made with fresh lemons brought back from Arizona.
It was delicious!
.
A good time was had by all.
.
And no-one had to stay overnight.... phew.... (we're having a snow storm....)
