We're experiencing a snowy Sunday and the birds and other little creatures are busy trying to "stock" up on sunflower seeds.... not much different then the humans that flock to the grocery store prior to the predicted storm.... but this cardinal was just so unsure about how to get those desired seeds...

He leaned in closer, watched the smaller birds get a seed and fly off, but there was no practical way for Mr. Cardinal to get on this feeder. The perches on this feeder are designed strickly for smaller birds. Hm... he kept landing on branches close by but he was not close enough to reach the seeds.... he wasn't the only hungry one..

Dear Mr. Deer decided not to wait until dusk to nose around looking for sunflower seed droppings under the deck...

The Cardinal had to finally settle for eating the sunflower seeds on the ground along with Mr. Squirrel.

And Dear Mr. Deer had to settle for browsing some branches for his Sunday dinner.

But sweet little Mr. Goldfinch enjoyed the tasty sunflowers by himself!
Ah.... eat up, little fella....
