I borrowed these pictures from my son and daughter-in-law, who, along with their 5 children, live about 6 hours away. I'm so glad for the magic of the internet, and seeing current pictures, getting up-to-date reports on things and so on. I think back to when we lived in Canada and my mom was far away in New Jersey. No internet. No cell phones. No digital cameras. It almost seems hard to remember those days! I had to take pictures with a film camera, get them developed (oh yes, of course double prints!) and then mail them (snail mail!) to my east coast family. Now... one can snap a photo with their cell phone and send it immediately to someone. Seriously, what will they think of next? ANYWAY, back to the important part of this post: these grandchildren whom I don't get to see often enough.. The picture above has a cute story; the brother and sister on the steps.. brother was sent to the steps for a "time out" .... and little sister decided on her own to join him and keep him company during his time of separation... So cute!
And here are the darling pictures of the first day of school! We have a 3rd grader, a 1st grader, a Kindergarten student and a preschooler. And a broken leg....
Grandma & grandpa send big hugs!
