Tonight we had 24 for a sit-down dinner.
We had to do a little rearranging .. and our family room furniture was removed and a banquet style table was constructed. (It's good to marry a carpenter.)

We dressed the part.

We fussed over the table and

and lit the candles just before the guests arrived!

Then we welcomed our guests and said a prayer of thanksgiving together. (We, as a group, have met together for a number of years each Sunday evening during the fall, winter and early spring for a Bible study and time of fellowship.)

One quick picture and then...

time to EAT!
.
A good time was had by all.

Zowie! You have outdone yourselves this time! What a special way to share with friends.
So wonderful to see so many faces we miss. I'm sure eveyone had a lovely evening. You are a blessing to so many! :) Cassandra
What a wonderful thing! I've done this too but not to dress the part, nor quite 24 people! Did you sit at the table? Sometimes I don't, preferring just to serve and join in for dessert. Especially if there's not enough room for everyone.
Oh, my yes, a "good time was had by all" - not to mention the beautiful music after the meal when the men started singing old hymns with Ray at the piano. A good memory! JL
Awesome! Did you make Mississippi roast? ;)
