I love a sweet baby shower...
Oh, how fun to decorate in baby girl colors! Here is the cute room ready for the guests.
And, since the table theme was baby bottles, I baked and decorated some baby bottle cookies.
Oh yes, I'm all about cute...
The Aunt-to-be is welcoming everyone. She's adorable too....
and the gifts look pretty adorable too.....
She is the excited grandma ...
Opening gifts.
Yeah! A baby changing pad - hard to conceal in its wrappings... but just what she needed..
And here to wrap up this post is me with my friend Christine, who did the major planning for the shower.
.
Christine and I had paired up on a few fun projects, one being the total design of this cute room for our church. (wow, many years ago now...) Christine was the artist that designed the "french cafe" scenes on the walls. It had previously been an old "basement" room.....
We had no idea how much the room would be used, did we?
Now we anxiously await the birth of baby girl ....

Pictures for the future homeowners..
As you may know, Wally is building a home for his brother and sister-in-law. As they are presently in a much warmer climate they are not here to see the changes happening inside. So, these pictures are for them, though some of you may also find them of interest.
(My comments about each picture are now below the picture.)
(Remember, you can "double-click" the mouse when it is over the picture and the picture will enlarge.)
Don't you miss the snow???
(again, sorry the tile is dirty..)
All the closets are done. Here is your master bedroom closet.
Wally is working on installing the doors for your front closet while the guys in the kitchen are installing the granite countertops.
Isn't this wonderful? I think you will love it!!!
There will be glass doors on either side of the fireplace on the bottom.
There will be glass doors on either side of the fireplace on the bottom.
(Of course, they will look much better when the protective film is removed!)
Now you can sort of visualize the space for the dining table.
(And notice the windows are trimmed out too.)

Getting my money's worth....
When we first became grandparents, it seemed like a great reason to buy some of the cool baby items that were not around when we were parents. I was excited to buy a "pack 'n play" and the "ocean wonders bouncy seat" and the sweet "baby swing" that would swing from side to side or front to back, an exersaucer, a high chair(s), and the fun activity mat with the toys that dangle over the baby, the mirror in the corner, the lights and music... oh yes, I'm a sap for all that kind of stuff. However, I would like to show proof that I have, to date,
.
GOTTEN MY MONIES WORTH....

Pictures, pictures... P is for...
Tuesdays seem like a good day for playing with Grandma!
What could be better?
They are probably collector items.
After his "mac 'n cheese" we had heart-shaped blueberry muffins!
Here we are reading his Daddy's book...
Cars and Trucks and Things that Go!
Yes, we found goldbug on each page...
