Today marks the 7th year of my brother Cordell's death, just 5 days shy of his 50th birthday. We all miss him as much now as during those darks days. I can still hear his voice saying "hello there" in my head; the words he always said when he called me on the telephone. He had a great sense of humor, something that I also miss. He knew just how to tease me - the kind of teases that really came close to home! There was always a bit of truth to his teasing... He was a great father and a loving husband as well as a wonderful son and brother.
And I'm so glad he wasn't camera shy, because I so treasure this picture of the two of us.
